Day 1B of the 2013 Borgata Spring Poker Open kicked off with a full house of players. In total, 363 players took their seats today and 187 made it through the final level. Those 187 players will join the 68 players from Day 1A for a 255-player field on Day 2.
The Day 1B chipstack bonuses went to Paul Spitzberg and Hend Matthews. Spitzberg took home a $3,000 bonus for finishing the night with the largest stack at 185,425. The $2,000 bonus went to Matthews who had the second largest stack in play at 179,175.
The poker room was packed with notables today. When play ended for the night Matt Glantz, Ralph Massey, Gordon Eng, Todd Terry, Kevin Saul, Jeremy Brown, Dave Inselberg and Jean "Prince" Gaspard were among the many, many familiar faces still in the field. Defending Spring Poker Open championship event winner Jia Liu was also in the field today.

Jonathan Little made his first appearance at the 2013 Borgata Spring Poker Open today but things did not go well for him. Little Tweeted: "I lost the borgata tournament. Basically nothing has went right for the last 48 hours"
After playing in the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown in Hollywood, Florida, Erick Lindgren took his seat on Day 1B in the Poker Room. Lindgren has three Borgata Open Championship Event finishes. Lindgren was 5th in the 2008 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open, 3rd in the 2006 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open and 29th in the 2005 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open. A cash in the championship event would be Lindgren's first non-winter Open cash at the Borgata.
